Life is hard. Hell, sometimes it downright sucks.

The good news?

You’re not alone, and it really does get better. You can use all that life has thrown at you as bricks to build a sturdy, healthy foundation.

We’re a team, and I will support you in achieving your goals and becoming the you that you want to be. I utilize and combine therapy practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, traditional talk therapy, and more. This allows me to customize my treatment approach to fit your needs. You are extraordinary, bold, and uniquely you – so your treatment should be too!

Hi, I’m Patricia

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Adjunct Professor, and Certified Field Instructor committed to working with diverse groups of individuals, families, and communities.

The services that I provide have led my clients towards personal transformations: increased confidence, self-actualization, healthy relationships, accountability, and clarity on future goals.

You deserve all this too!

In 2019, I had a massive awakening.

I realized that I had been existing and not really living -
life was just passing me by.

This is when I decided to take a leap of faith and work toward the goal of SECURING MY BAG! Taking this step has allowed me to be financially secure and solely dependent on myself to create my ultimate success. I have overcome barriers, fears, and worries, both professionally and personally, and my approach to therapy stems from these experiences.

Over the years, I have helped many individuals navigate various social systems to reach their goals. I have worked with students and schools to provide academic and emotional support. I have also coordinated and facilitated programs aimed at supporting individuals of color, underrepresented within the community.

Together, let’s build a therapeutic relationship that allows you to rebuild a better and more successful you!

I’ve got a big shocker for you:

I am "human"!

I have feelings, and they’re not always good.

I feel sad, overwhelmed, mad, and frustrated. I have also felt disappointment a few too many times.

As a first-generation Jamaican woman, I often feel the overwhelming burden of making sure that I make something of myself to ensure that my family's migration to this country was not in vain. I get upset and offended by microaggressions, or others’ preconceived assumptions because of the color of my skin, but I deal with smaller frustrations too.

I get annoyed when I pick up take-out food just to go home and realize they forgot my fries. I think about COVID and how it has significantly changed what we knew as "normal", and hope that my close friends and family members are in good health.

These things can suck!

However, I too have had to learn how to manage the challenges of this thing called life. I have had to develop my own arsenal of coping tools.

Just to name a few:

Anyone who knows me knows that I enjoy a good joke. I love laughing, and consider it my medicine.

One way I get a good laugh is through watching funny TikTok videos my nieces send to me.

When spending time with family and friends (and of course, laughing!) we often happen to be eating.

Boy, do I enjoy a good meal! Needless to say, the best way to my heart is through food.

Lastly, I love napping. I will take a nap any chance I can.

And after the stress of the day is over, I look forward to being in bed while watching my favorite television shows, like Family Guy or MTV's Ridiculousness. I guess you might say I use laughter at the end of my day to ensure I get a good night's rest.

It’s just one click to a better you.
